Academic Tracks and Credential Pathways within TC Studies

Graduates of the interdenominational program, TC Studies, receive four legally compliant, academically grounded credentials, each serving a distinct purpose.

The TC Studies curriculum  is designed as a fully accredited 180‑ECTS Bachelor’s Degree with a specialization in Christian Counseling. In addition to the Official Polish Accredited BA Diploma, every student follows two integrated academic tracks—Biblical & Theological Studies and Christian Counseling—and graduates with a multi‑credential package that reflects both academic rigor and practical ministry preparation.

These pathways ensure that every graduate receives a strong theological foundation, professional counseling formation, and internationally recognizable ECTS‑based credentials.

  1. Biblical & Theological Studies

Certificate in Biblical and Theological Studies (ECTSAligned)

This track forms the theological core of the BA program and provides students with a comprehensive foundation in Scripture, church history, ethics, and practical ministry. Upon completion of the required theological modules, students receive the Certificate in Biblical and Theological Studies, an academically grounded credential aligned with the European Higher Education Area (EHEA).

This certificate confirms competence in:

  • Old and New Testament studies
  • Hermeneutics and biblical interpretation
  • Systematic theology and Christian doctrine
  • Church history and Christian ethics
  • Apologetics and worldview formation
  • Practical theology, evangelism, and discipleship

Purpose:
To formally recognize the student’s theological formation within the TC Studies BA program and support preparation for pastoral ministry, missions, church leadership, discipleship, and further theological study, including eligibility for Master’s-level programs.

2. Christian Counseling

Official BA Specialization + Two Counseling Credentials

Christian Counseling is the official specialization of the TC Studies BA in Theology curriculum. Students complete a rigorous combination of academic coursework, skills training, and supervised practice delivered jointly by WBST and the NOVUS Foundation Counseling Center.

Graduates receive two counseling credentials in addition to the BA degree:

  1. Professional Certificate in Christian Counseling

Coissued by WBST and NOVUS Foundation

Recognizes practical, ministry‑oriented counseling preparation.

Confirms:

  • 400 hours of counseling training
  • Minimum 60 hours of supervised counseling practice
  • Completion of the counseling specialization
  • Joint academic and professional oversight

Purpose:
To recognize the student’s practical counseling preparation within the TC Studies’ BA program and support readiness for ministry‑oriented counseling roles in churches, Christian organizations, foundations, charities, NGOs, and community settings, including work in discipleship, pastoral care, and basic helping‑profession contexts.

B. Advanced Certificate in Christian Counseling (ECTSBased)

Coissued by WBST and NOVUS Foundation

Recognizes the academic rigor of the counseling curriculum.

Confirms:

  • 70+ ECTS in counseling‑related coursework
  • All credits earned within the accredited BA program
  • Alignment with ECTS and EQF Level 6 standards

Purpose:

To formally validate the academic rigor of the counseling specialization and support eligibility for graduate‑level studies, postgraduate counseling programs, international academic recognition, and continued professional development within counseling‑related fields.

Why This Matters

The TC Studies program provides a rare combination of:

  • Accredited academic training
  • Professional counseling preparation
  • Strong biblical and theological formation
  • ECTS‑based credentials recognized across Europe
  • Practical ministry readiness, including pastoral preparation

This multi‑credential structure makes TC Studies one of the most comprehensive and internationally accessible ministrytraining programs in Europe.

Church members, and even those Christians who have strayed from God, are more likely to seek counseling from a pastor or a trained Christian counselor rather than from a secular mental health professional. In practice, a pastor or an elder often becomes the first person to respond and the one who provides the initial crisis intervention. Our program equips students with the knowledge and skills needed to serve people who are traumatized, abused, addicted, or simply facing the adversities of everyday life.
