Specializations

In addition to the BA in Theology, TC Studies offers two distinct specializations, Church Leadership and Christian Counseling.

  • Church Leadership – TC Studies graduates are not only prepared to pastor a congregation but also a community. Students are equipped for a full and meaningful life serving God in different areas such as Christian and non-Christian foundations, charities, non-profit organizations, NGOs, hospitals and more.

Some of the most meaningful moments for church leaders are the experiences lived through daily interactions. Pastors must be actively involved in their communities by displaying acts of servant leadership. Through these actions, they can positively influence their communities and model healthy, Christian relationships. By choosing the Church Leadership specialization, you will gain theological knowledge and skills in outreach and missions, encouragement, support, counseling, and mentoring. Our goal is to form leaders for the future.
  • Christian Counseling – Students receive formal academic training in Christian counseling, including the practical application of counseling tools. They are taught how to conduct professional counseling sessions, how to invite God to be at the center of each counseling meeting, and how to address the emotional and psychological needs of individuals who are struggling.

Church members and Christians, even those who have strayed from God, are more likely to seek counseling from a pastor or a trained Christian Counselor rather than from a secular mental health professional. In reality, a pastor or an elder often becomes the first responder and is likely to serve as the person providing crisis intervention. Our program gives the needed knowledge and skills to serve people who are traumatized, abused, addicted or simply dealing with adversities of everyday life.
