CHURCH PLANTING

We don’t aim to plant mega churches that rely on large crowds. Instead, our vision is to establish faithful, multiplying churches in small- and medium-sized communities — bringing the church closer to the people. Through the TC Studies program, graduates are well prepared and equipped to lead a congregation and become an integral part of their community through acts of servant leadership, pastoral care, and counseling ministry.

Each new church will have both a church leader and a trained counselor, serving not only the congregation but also the surrounding community.

From October 2024 to October 2029, the NOVUS Foundation plans to plant at least four churches in Poland under the name Christian Fellowship (CF):

  • 2024-25: CF-SPANISH – Warsaw (November 2024)
  • 2026-27: First CF-ENGLISH – Warsaw
  • 2028-29: First CF-POLISH – waiting for God’s instruction
  • 2028-29: First CF-UKRAINIAN – waiting for God’s instruction

These congregations will provide TC Studies students with real ministry experience and opportunities to develop their God-given gifts in live church-planting environments. In addition, students will be encouraged and prepared to plant churches not only in Poland, but wherever God calls them globally.

Poland represents a unique mission field. Poland’s evangelical Protestant minority remains extraordinarily small. Less than 0.3% of the nation’s population identifies as evangelical Protestant. With a population of approximately 38 million, this means only about 100,000–130,000 evangelical believers are in Poland — a tremendous challenge and a significant calling for the global Church.

To advance this mission, TC Studies is now offered not only in English but also in Polish, with dedicated Polish faculty delivering a full theological and counseling curriculum in the Polish language. This expansion is especially strategic for church planting in Poland, as it prepares Polish-speaking servant-leaders and counselors who can minister effectively in their own cultural and linguistic context. These are not translated courses, but fully native-language programs designed to strengthen the Church in Poland.

Recognizing the size and urgency of the mission field, the NOVUS Foundation welcomes cooperation with other institutions, churches, and mission organizations that seek to advance church planting in Poland and beyond. We are ready to partner in your church-planting efforts—whether through training, sending, or strategic collaboration—to help multiply healthy congregations in regions with minimal Protestant evangelical presence — through training, sending, resource support, and collaborative mission efforts — to help establish healthy congregations in regions with little or no Protestant evangelical presence. In contrast, there are very few, if any, towns in Poland without a Roman Catholic church. The Catholic Church maintains a deeply rooted presence across nearly all regions.

To further support this vision, NOVUS has a strategy in place to financially support churches planted by TC Studies graduates: each student-led church planting group may receive a 9- to-12-month allowance of up to USD 1,000 per month during the launch phase.

Our prayer is to see a movement of new congregations across Poland and the nations: churches led by servant-leaders who preach the Gospel, disciple believers, offer compassionate counseling care, and bring the hope of Christ into communities where the light of the gospel is scarcely seen.
