WHAT IS WBST?
WBST is an accredited evangelical Christian university located in Warsaw, Poland, with the goal of comprehensively preparing followers of Jesus Christ for Christian service. It refers to the nearly 100-year tradition of seminary education in the Polish Baptist community, while at the same time being open to the challenges of modern times and to cooperation with evangelical Christians from other denominations. We believe that Jesus changes people for good!
WBST – Wyższe Baptystyczne Seminarium Teologiczne (Higher Baptist Theological Seminary), offers a Polish-language bachelor’s degree in theology, recognized by European Union accreditation standards (ECTS credits), as well as various short courses for theological enrichment.
We seek to unite evangelical Christians of all denominations to provide biblically based education to all who are called to serve Him.
2020 – WBST, under the name of International Theological College, launched an accredited bachelor’s degree program in English/Swahili in Geita, Tanzania, Africa.
2023 – The success of the program in Geita, encouraged WBST International Theological College to expand to three additional campuses in Tanzania.
2024 – English-Only Program in Central Europe! – WBST International Theological College, taking a step of faith, partnered with Fundacja NOVUS (NOVUS Foundation), a registered non-profit foundation in Poland, to offer a practical and distinctive Protestant evangelical Christian 3-year, English-only Bachelor in Theology degree in Warsaw, Poland. The program, named Theology and Counseling Studies, or simply TC Studies, focuses on equipping future Church leaders and professional Christian counselors.
2025 – February – WBST-TC Studies welcomed its first cohort of 18 students, most of them came from Ukraine.
After the first semester began, we prayed. The Lord was clear and said: “Expand worldwide.”
2025 – October – WBST-TC Studies welcomed 34 new students representing 17 different countries. News of this unique academic path–one of the only accredited programs in Europe offering theological education with formal counseling training, and the only one of its kind in Poland–quickly spread worldwide.
2025 – October (Program Launch in Polish) – October also marked the launch of the first semester of “Poradnictwo Chrześcijańskie” (Christian Counseling) in Polish, welcoming 13 new Polish students.
TC Studies is now offered in English and Polish, each with its own dedicated faculty. These are not translated classes—they are fully native-language programs.
WBST International Theological College in Warsaw and the NOVUS Foundation have joined forces to empower Christian students to be inclusive and open-minded, while remaining rooted in biblically sound education. Our goal is to prepare students to become future leaders, church planters, or Christian counselors who serve local communities and express practical godliness wherever God calls them.
The NOVUS Foundation brings extensive expertise in international evangelical Christian university education, including lecturers from the USA and South Africa with doctoral degrees and professional practicing Christian counselors, to best equip our students for their mission. We believe that modern Christian education must be biblical, highly practical, and open to all evangelical Christian students from around the world.
Upon completion, students receive a fully accredited university degree awarded by the Polish Ministry of National Education. This accreditation enables graduates to pursue master’s and doctoral studies in any European Union member country, as well as in many other institutions worldwide.
